Committed to and experienced with sustainable building
Rogers-O’Brien Construction managers and supervisory personnel believe in the philosophy and methodologies of sustainability in building design and construction. Many of our people have worked on sustainable-design buildings and understand the construction of passive solar, heat reclamation, and rainwater harvesting systems, as well as how to utilize recycled and local building materials.
To minimize the environmental impact during construction, Rogers-O’Brien personnel execute plans to protect and restore habitat onsite. Sorting bins for all construction debris divert material from the local landfill to recycling facilities. We use a construction indoor air quality management plan to eliminate indoor air quality issues that occur during the construction process.
Address LEED and other certification requirements
To help you achieve the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED™) level and/or city green building rating you desire, experienced Rogers-O’Brien professionals with specified training review plans and specifications, attend green building charrettes, and provide detailed suggestions and support.
In both our Austin and Dallas offices, Rogers-O’Brien professionals have been trained in LEED, including v2.0 and v2.1 for New Construction, LEED-EB for Existing Buildings, and LEED-CI for Commercial Interiors. These professionals understand the requirements of the U.S. Green Building Council LEED Rating System and the Green Building Program requirements. Additionally, they know systems and materials that may help you achieve extra LEED and city green building points.
