Enhancing opportunities for minority- and women-owned subcontractors
In a thriving local economy, all qualified businesses — large and small — should have equal opportunities to compete and succeed. That is why Rogers-O’Brien Construction employs a subcontracting plan for Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs), minority and women owned subcontractors and supplier. We seek to maximize M/WBE/HUB participation on our projects. This program fosters mutually beneficial, ongoing relationships.
Rogers-O’Brien solicits and cultivates participation among HUB subcontracting firms for specific building projects. Additionally, we participate in and support local and regional mentoring programs that increase minority subcontractor availability and expertise.
Coordinating with local and national organizations — including the Dallas/Fort Worth Minority Business Council, the South Central Texas Regional Certification Agency (SCTRCA), and the City of Austin Community Mentor Protégé Initiative (CMPI) Program — Rogers-O’Brien:
• Provides early identification and alerts for DBE vendors and suppliers about work and bid opportunities.
• Surveys M/WBE and HUB availability.
• Provides technical assistance and management support.
If you are a subcontractor that would like to work with Rogers-O’Brien, please follow the instructions on our Subcontractors page.
